Staffordshire is situated towards the centre of the United Kingdom, providing easy access to the rest of the country and Europe, making it the ideal place for manufacturing. In the village of Chesterton lies Loomer Road Industrial Estate where batteries have been produced at the same site for 50 years.
Currently owned by global Ultralife Corporation and operating under the name Accutronics Ltd, the company has come a long way since its origins as a small local firm. Today, Accutronics manufactures custom and off-the-shelf battery packs and chargers for large OEMs in the medical, military, subsea, and industrial markets.
