Ultralife Corporation has come a long way since it was formed out of Kodak's Ultra Technologies Battery Division and went public 32 years ago.  Since then, we have sold over 100 million non-rechargeable 9V batteries worldwide, introduced the popular XX90 rechargeable lithium-ion battery range (used by international armed forces), expanded our Communications Systems portfolio with the acquisition of AMTI and McDowell Research, and acquired businesses in the UK, Canada, China, India, and across the USA.  These acquisitions allow us to better serve a wide range of markets from Government and Defense, to Medical and Healthcare, Industrial, Safety and Security, Robotics and Internet-of-Things, Oil and Gas, and Subsea.

Ultralife-Company-History-Timeline

As well as celebrating our past, we are always focused on the future and developing the next-generation of products.  Our Communications Systems division recently launched the smallest, lightest RF amplifier available.  The Battery and Energy division launched a medical cart power system and a new battery charger (for military and commercial markets) that automatically sets smart XX90 batteries to 30% state-of-charge (in compliance with air shipment regulations).  In November this year, we acquired Electrochem Solutions, Inc., adding a range of Thionyl Chloride, Bromine Chloride, and Sulfuryl Chloride cells to our non-rechargeable product range.

In terms of capabilities, our years of experience enables us to design high quality non-rechargeable cells, non-rechargeable and rechargeable battery packs, battery chargers, racks and cases for Edge computer servers, RF amplifiers, and more for critical applications.

So, as you can see, although we are proud of our heritage, we are always looking at ways to expand our product portfolio to serve next-gen technical requirements and emerging markets.
